Mina Momeni is a lecturer and an interdisciplinary artist. She holds a PhD in Communication and Culture from the joint program at Ryerson and York universities, and she received her MFA in Documentary Media from Ryerson University.
Momeni’s research focuses on digital media, bots, social media affordances, algorithmic art, human-computer interaction, multimodal storytelling, visual culture, communication, philosophy of technology, and online activism. Momeni has participated in various group and individual exhibitions in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. As an interdisciplinary artist, her artwork such as photographs, videos, multimedia, and installation art explores the relationship between ancient culture, symbology, monuments, and memories. |
